Gusto offers compliance-based trainings for US employees, US contractors, and international contractors with a Gusto profile.

Course information

  • Courses cover harassment prevention, diversity, HIPAA, and security. 
  • They’re available in English and Spanish (with captions) to help companies follow state rules and promote inclusivity.
  • All Gusto plans have access to the courses, but each course has its own price and appears on the monthly invoice under "Gusto Learning".
  • Continuous education (CE) credit is not offered for these courses at this time.

Workplace violence prevention training (for California employers)

Beginning Jul 1, 2024, California employers are required to give a workplace violence prevention training—this training must be customized to your specific company.

Q: Can I change the due date?

A: No, you cannot change the due date at this time. 

Q: My employee did not complete a course, and it’s now showing up as “discontinued.” What should I do?

A: We updated a few courses in Gusto Learning. The archived or “discontinued” courses are still compliant with all current state mandates. Any assigned team members can still complete the training, which will fulfill any state harassment prevention training mandate in all 50 states. If you need to assign an employee a training, search for the updated training in the course catalog. 

Q: Do you offer continuous education (CE) credits for completing a course?

A: No. Continuous education (CE) credit is not offered for these courses at this time.
