WizeHire is an online recruiting system that makes it easy for you to find and hire the right people faster. 

Gusto and WizeHire integrate to streamline every step of your recruiting process from your first job ad to their first day on the job. Once you’ve hired a new candidate for a job in WizeHire, you can send their details to Gusto to complete their onboarding and payroll details. 

Customers who join Gusto from WizeHire receive 3 months of payroll free.

Connect to Gusto from WizeHire

  1. Sign in to WizeHire.
  2. Click on your company name in the top right of your dashboard.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Click Payroll Integrations (not just "Integrations").
  5. Click Connect Account to connect a pre-existing Gusto account. Click Create an Account to create a Gusto account if you don’t have one already.
    • If you clicked Create an Account: follow the prompts and then check your email for any next steps required to complete your Gusto onboarding.
  6. Enter your Gusto sign in credentials and click Sign In.
  7. Select which company(ies) you'd like to authorize and click Authorize.

You’re now all set to send individual new hires to Gusto 

Send new hires from WizeHire to Gusto

  1. Click into your Job dashboard and locate the candidate you’re hiring.
  2. Drag your new hire’s candidate card into the hired stage.
  3. A pop-up modal will appear and you'll be guided through the steps to send them to payroll.
    • If the hire was already in the hired stage:
      • Click on their candidate card.
      • Click on the Onboarding tab.
      • Click Add {Employee Name} to Your Payroll.
      • Complete any next steps in the modal to export the new hire to Gusto.
  4. In Gusto, click the People section.
  5. Toggle to the Onboarding team members tab.
  6. Click on the three vertical dots in the "Actions" column next to their name.
  7. Click Continue Setup.
  8. Fill in any missing information that may be required.
  9. Click Save & continue.
  10. Fill out any remaining pieces of the employee profile so it's complete and accurate. 

You can sync both W-2 employees and 1099 contractor hires from WizeHire to Gusto.

Employee information that will sync from WizeHire to Gusto:

  • First and last name
  • Start date
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Compensation/Salary
  • Job title 
  • Employment status

The following information does not sync over:

  • Date of job offer
  • Tax exemption status (set by hiring manager)

Troubleshoot syncing issues

  • "I can’t find my new hire in Gusto."
    • Reach out to WizeHire at team@wizehire.com for assistance.
  • “I had trouble adding my new employee to my Gusto account.”
    • Try adding the employee again in a few hours. If the problem persists, contact WizeHire support at team@wizehire.com.
  • “I accidentally added the wrong information about my new hire to Gusto.”
    • Don’t worry! Once you've added your employee to Gusto, you can always make edits directly in Gusto.
