Refer a friend
- Sign in to your Gusto account.
- Head to the Referrals section (
) of the top menu. - Share your referral link on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, or email your friends to try Gusto. You can also copy your unique link to share with friends to sign up.
- Your referee will get an email from Gusto with the subject of “{Your name} thinks you’ll love Gusto payroll and benefits”. Your referee must:
- Select the “Accept Invite”, and;
- Go through the sign-up process from the email.
- After your referee signs up and pays their first payroll invoice, you'll get an email with your gift card from Gusto via Tremendous (rewards@reward.tremendous.com). This may take up to 30 days from the time the invoice was paid.
- Use your gift card within six months. Gift cards expire after six months.
Eligibility reminders
- To be eligible for this promotion, your friend needs to sign up for Gusto through your personal referral link. The referred account must be on either:
- The Simple, Plus, or Premium Plan, and have processed an employee payroll.
- The contractor–only plan, and have processed a contractor payment.
- This promotion does not apply to accounts that are closed before the referral bonus is issued.
- Gusto reserves the right to declare a referral ineligible for the promotion if Gusto believes that you are abusing the referral program.
- Gusto cannot switch from one type of reward to another.
W-9 info and tax forms—for earners over $600
If you get $600 or more in rewards in a calendar year, Tremendous (the sender) is required to report this amount to the IRS. Once you earn $600, you'll need to complete an electronic W-9 form with information that will be used on a 1099-NEC.
